Did you really want to die? No one commits suicide because they want to die. Then why do they do it? Because they want to stop the pain.” – it was a great saying from Tiffanie DeBartolo.it actually is true.No one wants to die, even a highly religious person, who sacrificed his/her whole life for the sake of getting in to heaven ,doesn’t want to die.Almost everyone who is suffering ,doesn’t want to die, they just want to stop the pain or they just don’t want to feel the pain.if they could find out a way to introduce some pleasure in to their suffering soul, they would survive it.if they could find painkillers for their suffering mind ,they would survive.People sometimes forget ,that everything changes.nothing will be here unchanged forever.
Im not here talking about people with clinical depression which comes from nowhere.chemical imbalances in the brain plays a major role in its clinical course.any one can be affected by this at any time of our life.People who unfortunately happened to be the victim of this ,may not have a good insight of their illness.there are plenty of mental illnesses which invariably associated with episodes of clinical depression.U may get depression even if you have got nothing wrong in ur life.It can be cured by taking proper medications and other cognitive and behavioral therapies.this is a different scenario.
People sometimes becomes depressed after undergoing a traumatic event , breakup, lost loved ones….etc.here ,you should seek help from the people around you to overcome this temporary hardship.it will go away and u will feel better again.u can prevent urself from getting clinical depression if u take proper action.never be alone, never be isolated.Keep this in ur mind u r not alone.there are people who suffered like you ,has survived this.
When you’re young and healthy you can plan on Monday to commit suicide, and by Wednesday you’re laughing again.” – Marilyn Monroe
One day you may feel like giving up , due to breakups and traumatic events in ur life.u may actually want to end it all.the next day you may have found a new friend or someone who loves u unconditionally.
Suicidal thoughts happen when the person’s emotional pain exceeds his ability to cope with that pain.as the rate of depression among people climb up.its better for us to be well informed about the warning signs and coping methods,in case if any one around us need our help. Its better if we can conduct some suicidal awareness programmes among vulnerable people especially university students.as we hv encountered a lot of incidents among them.they are the one ,who r being pressurized between relationship issues, stress of studying, financial issues and etc…
We can start it by taking a very basic step.if u find someone around you suffering from any kind of emotional distress,if u observe any recent change in them behavior,if u find someone near u isolate him/her self from others…take ur first step toward them and get to know their issues by talking with them.at least dont let them feel alone.try ur best to get them off from that situation.help them get proper professional help. While people are busy drowning in to their smartphones, direct human interactions are being reduced to the level where simple open conversations with friends seem hard to be done.Sometimes people may suffer inside without showing it to the outside world.they make them selves being drowned in to the emotional pain, eventually become isolated and suicidal.we should be able to identify them.
I myself have diagnosed two of my friends with bipolar and schizophrenia, made them get professional help.now they are doing well except for the episodic breakups, which now they could manage with medications and other kind of therapies.
So even some serious mental health issues are manageable ,some are curable.so if we give little effort to overcome the emotional pain of traumatic life events,we would definitely be able to prevent ourselves or people near us from getting serious mental health issues like clinical depression.
Let’s say no to suicide🙂
